Why do I homeschool?

* This is just an example I think of: two baby trees are planted out in an open field. One gardener leaves that tree compleatly defensless against the winds and storms when they came thus that little baby tree broke and scarred and barely survived without dieing.... well the second tree's gardener took wonderful care of its sapling, surrounding it will walls of protection against the horrors of this earth.. and as that baby tree grew, the gardener SLOWLY GENTLY exposed that baby tree to the horrors of those tremorous winds and storms, and it slowly grew stronger and stronger against those horrible winds till one day that gardener could compleately remove those walls of protection and that HUGE tree could stand by itself against THE WHOLE WORLD.... AMEN! God bless those parents who protect their children!
* It is so much fun!
* As far as them NOT getting enough socialization, well that's not the kinda socialization I want. I don't want them around kids who have lost all their inocence, talking filth like a sailor about things I won't even let MY ears hear! Also I choose to filter all that filth and surround us with some pretty nice wholesome familes where I can let my guard down and enjoy their fellowship.... why on earth would they even NEED the public school's SOCIALIZATION? what does that have to do with every day life
* There is only usualy one teacher per 30 to 35 kids at most class rooms... here so far I only have 2 students LOL talk about they get a LOT of one on one time...
* I can control my children's environment, keeping their hearts and minds pure for the work of the Lord
* FIELD TRIPS!
* I feel I have a pretty good education and level of knowledge to be a teacher, in fact several people have told me that I should go be a teacher. So why not just be a teacher for only my children, in this wonderful flexible learning environment.
* I think most children just daydream and doodle all day, sending notes back and forth... here I'd love to get a note from my son...
* I dont feel like the school promots an attractive learning environment. I remember all those days where I felt stuck in class and just barely could force myself to do the bare minimum so as to not get scolded by the teacher. Tell me what kinda part of that makes me drawn towards learning and knowledge as a child? It just doesn't...
* I love the company and fellowship it allows
* Here at home by boys are already proving to me that if they indeed want to learn then it takes VERY little effort on my behalf to make the matterial STICK to their brains... its amazing!!! Just amazing at how quickly they learn here. Where as all their friends who are in public school are already showing signs of dreeding attending school and they are just tired and bored sick of it
* We study real history, not the revised politically correct version
* My children pity the fools and scoffers who believe in evolution
* At 7 hours per day (conservative estimate), for 180 days per year, that's 1,260 hours per year, times 13 years, equals 16,380 hours of their childhood that would be spent under government supervision. The Bible says, "Children obey your parents [NOT UNCLE SAM] in the Lord." God gave them to me, not the U.S. government. How can I expect them to embrace my ideals and my faith, when I let someone else hold a position of respect and authority over them for 16,380 hours of their childhood?
* Age segregation is something foreign. Playmates come in all ages and sizes, boys or girls,
* I've learned more since I graduated than I ever learned in school. If I can just pass on a love of learning and a good work ethic, they'll be fit for whatever the Lord has in store for them
* I don't have to wonder if some pervert is having his/her way with my babies while I'm not there to protect them
*I can never forget how my own faith was shaken by a teacher whom was very near to me and I greatly respected, In the little 3 room school house which I grew up in out in the country edge, grade K to 8 only 60 students total!!!! this teacher ended up going to jail for molesting SEVERAL young boys and I will never forget him or public school for my YOUNG cousin was one of the victims who came forward and brought justice down!!! ... Just another tragedie :(

God is Good!!!

God is SOOOO good!!! When you have something bad happen, or feel pain, or even see something AWFUL!!!! Our responds should not be anger, disgust, or defense but rather.... STOP and take a LONG look at the situation; there is ALWAYS A BLESSING or something good that can come out of it. Our responds should be: thank you God for showing me that, thank you for teaching me that, thank you for caring enough about me to chasten me. When you have a thankful heart, his love replaces the pain with JOY (not happiness) but real pure JOY, overflowing JOY, AMAZING GOD-GIVEN JOY.
THANK YOU GOD!!!!
